Tanner and Beamer Trails, Grand Canyon National Park

Carrie, Karen, and I backpacked Tanner and Beamer.

This is "the scary part" of the Beamer.  Before we were about to run out of water.

We made it to the Little Colorado!  Unfortunately, the water was muddy instead of the bright blue.  Guess we'll just have to make another trip out there.

South Kaibab & Bright Angel, Grand Canyon National Park

On February 8-9th I did my first solo Grand Canyon backpacking trip.  I had only intended to go to Indian Garden, but ended up at the campground near Phantom Ranch!  The top of the trail was pretty icy the first mile or so.  

Baboquivari, Southern Arizona

Tiffany, Eric and I went up the Ladder Route to summit Baboquivari.  

This is right before and right after the only technical climbing required for the climb,

So close to the summit!

It's tradition to bring gifts and to leave them at the summit.

 We when reached the car, the lighting was perfect on Baboquivari!
